What is a Coating Machine?
Introduction of Coating Machine:
The coating machine is mainly used for the surface coating process production of film, paper, etc. This machine is to coat the rolled substrate with a layer of glue, paint or ink with specific functions, and then cut it into slices or roll it after drying. The special multi-functional coating head is used to realize various forms of surface coating. The winding and unwinding of the coating machine is equipped with a full-speed automatic film splicing mechanism, and the PLC program tension closed-loop automatic control.
Types of Coating Process Methods:
Gravure coating (Direct):
Gravure Reverse Coating (Reverse):

Types of Coating Process Methods:
Gravure coating (Direct):
- It is used for high-viscosity coating glue, low requirements for the smoothness of the coating, and high-speed coating operations. Products suitable for high coating weight requirements.
- Related products include: leather, textile fabrics, wallpapers, building materials, tapes, insulating substrates, packaging.
Gravure Reverse Coating (Reverse):
- It is used in medium-viscosity coating glue, and has requirements for the smoothness and accuracy of the coating.
- Related products include: leather, textile fabrics, wallpapers, building materials, tapes, insulating substrates, packaging.
Gravure Offset Coating:
- The flatness and accuracy of the glue application are required, and the thickness and weight of the glue need to be controlled. Products suitable for low (thin) coating weight requirements.
- Related products include: tapes, insulating substrates, packaging, electronics.
Microgravure coating:
- Compared with gravure coating, the diameter of the sizing wheel of micro gravure coating is smaller, so that the control of the glue is higher. Microgravure coating is a good choice for smooth and lightweight coating. If there is a higher requirement for the flatness of the glue, microgravure "reverse" coating can be used to achieve it.
- Related products include: tape, electronics.
Flexo coating:
- Applied to low-viscosity coating glue, it focuses more on high-speed coating than flatness. Suitable for products suitable for low (thin) coating weight requirements.
- Related products include: tapes, insulating substrates, packaging, electronics.
4 rounds of coating:
- Applied to high-viscosity coating glue, it has requirements for the smoothness and precision of the coating, and requires a high degree of control over the thickness and weight of the coating. The control space for the amount of glue is wide. Available from low (thin) coat weight requirements to high (thick) coat weight requirements.
- Related products include: tapes, insulating substrates, packaging, electronics.
Film head coating:
- Applied to the control of the viscosity or coating amount (thickness) of the coating glue, the film head coating can provide the largest range of operation space. Film head coating is precision coating, providing the most precise process.
- Related products include: optical products, semiconductor protective films, batteries, electronics.
Common Troubleshooting Items:
Wear of the transmission part of the coating machine:
- During the operation of the coating machine, the problem of wear of the transmission parts often occurs, such as the wear of the drying cylinder shaft head of the coating machine and the wear of the bearing chamber of the reel roll. Traditional repair methods include surfacing, thermal spraying, electric brush plating, etc., but they all have certain drawbacks: surfacing will make the surface of the part reach a high temperature, causing deformation or cracks, and even shaft fracture in severe cases; electroplating coating It cannot be too thick, and the pollution is serious, and the application is also limited. The material has good adhesion and compressive strength, which can repair the wear of the coating machine on site without disassembly. At the same time, because of its concessional property of lack of metal, it can well absorb the shock and vibration of the equipment and avoid secondary wear.
Coater concrete foundation damage:
- Due to the influence of corrosion, aging, equipment vibration and other factors, the coating machine will also cause damage to the concrete base and other parts, resulting in the loosening of the bolts that fasten the equipment, which seriously affects the production. The traditional concrete pouring method will greatly prolong the repair time, which is difficult for enterprises to accept.
